Upcoming events in Hong Kong and Taipei

Safecast has been fortunate to have supporters in several Asian cities who have helped organize events and start volunteer communities. Many of these people have gotten to know each other, and so we’ve launched the Safecast Asia Network initiative to help them stay in touch. As part of this, in coming weeks we will hold workshops in Taipei (our third) and Hong Kong (our second), with the assistance of our longterm partner Loftwork. While most of our workshops are for building bGeigie nanos, participants in these will learn radiation basics and how to build the kGeigie, a simple geiger counter kit we designed primarily with elementary and middle-school students in mind. In addition to these workshops, we are in the planning stages for others in Seoul, Singapore, and Bangkok.
